Okay, I’m back with the low-down on the down-low. Keeping it real with real-time updates. Representing from the 206, yo. Day two was “off the hizzle!” (For those of you not familiar with Seattle street talk, I was told that it means “positive experience.”) So hizzles off, indeed!
R & B threw down with their opening set, a blistering array of comedy skittles that mirrored their Thursday night show, but with even more spice in the sauce. The Royal We upped the ante by involving no less than three (!) more performers than R & B, a gutsy call. Elephant Larry countered by performing entirely in French, including signing for the French deaf. Seeing this, the Third Floor built a scale of model of the theater onstage, and performed their set using marionettes crafted to look like themselves.
It was then time for Push. I can’t really talk too much about it, but I’ll just say it’s a good thing that it was held in a basement, because the roof would surely have been torn off from the energy and commitment to excellence. Plus we all did coke off a volunteer’s ass! Hizzle!
More straight dope to come as the fest rolls on. Audi 5000, G.
