Sketch Comedy Month is almost here, and that means it’s time again for the annual (two makes a tradition, right?) Comedy for a Cause showcase! Produced by Sketchfest board member Sunny Monroe, Comedy for a Cause is a comedy show featuring sketches and stand-up comedy all based on a central theme.
This year’s theme centers on sustainability, and proceeds will go towards Morethana Farm, a permaculture partnership between Antioch University Seattle, SeaChar, Pacific Bamboo Resources and other groups in the Sammamish Valley providing hands-on teaching for permaculture farming methods.
The winning act as chosen by a panel of esteemed comedy judges will win $500 to spend as sustainably or unsustainably as they see fit!So swing by for a great night of comedy and the self-satisfaction that you helped support a good cause, too! Comedy for a Cause happens June 6 at the Ballard Underground. Tickets are $15 at the door, but you can get a special early bird rate of $13 online!
